How OneTap works
One tap for the employee, several checks on the server, and a clear record of which ones passed.
Joining
An invite by email
An admin invites a person by email, one at a time or from a file, and they join with a 6-digit code.
One phone, linked
The app checks that the phone is genuine and creates keys in its secure hardware.
Permissions explained first
The app says why it needs a permission before the phone asks for it, and the privacy notice comes in the person's language.
Checking in and out
One tap
The person taps once and confirms with Face ID or a fingerprint.
The server decides
It checks the office, the phone, the signature, its own clock and a single-use challenge.
A record of every check
Each check-in stores which checks passed, and the person sees the result on the screen.
When a check doesn't pass
- Doubtful check-ins and failed check-outs go to the admins' review queue, instead of being accepted or refused silently.
- Any edit to attendance needs a reason, and stays in the audit trail.
- A new phone needs an admin's approval, so a colleague's phone can't stand in for someone.
- The app signs a person out after 60 days without use by default, when they are deactivated, after a biometric change, or on a rooted phone.
